PROJECT SUMMARY
A boutique restaurant is conceived as an extension of a unique style of the city of Almaty. The inspiration for this restaurant comes from the Italian rational design of the 1900s, and in particular, the Roman school. This period has been characterised by a trait of great inspiration, where design and fashion made their first steps together to create what is known today as “MADE IN ITALY”. The use of marble and clean geometric shapes take inspiration from that period, as icon buildings like Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana or Palazzo dell’Esposizioni in Rome. The rationalism period has been the protagonist also for the cinema world, as well as for the movies of Federico Fellini and its masterpiece “La Dolce Vita”.
The description of the project leads us to think about the century which has passed: the 1900s. And this is from where it derives the name: “NOVECENTO”.
